EMBiz: The Third Workspace and Your Brand
The "Third Workspace" and Your Brand
Laurel Mintz, CEO & Founder
Hi everyone, Laurel Mintz here with Elevate My Brand, but you already knew that. Today I want to talk about this changing remote work environment. Now we've all been in it for quite some time and it's been interesting to hear the different types of conversations happening around people wanting to or not wanting to go back to a typical office environment. What we’ve seen and actually a consumer research survey by Accenture showed that people are interested in what is called a third workspace. Not home, not office, but something more hybrid like a coffee shop or a bar or a park or something that is not that typical work environment or the at home environment that we've been in for so long. But that is really interesting and important from a marketing perspective for those third types of work spaces.
Third workspaces from a marketing perspective
For example, if you're a coffee shop, it's about making sure that you're creating an environment that is welcoming to that type of worker or someone that's going to be there multiple times a week for long stints of time. So it's just a very interesting conversation to think about how to be open to change and to a different environment making sure your team feels supported and safe during this time but also again, more importantly, what does having that third workspace mean from a marketing perspective for those of you out there that actually own those types of spaces. It’s a really interesting conversation to think about; I know that I've been having it with my team and we'll see what happens in the next few months. At the very least though, make sure that you provide a safe working environment and that your team feels really comfortable either working from home remotely, working in your office again, or potentially working in one of those third workspaces.
