Number one, of course, it drives impulse sales. So think of the most obvious cross-merchandising opportunity, which is a S'more, right? You're not gonna buy chocolate without Graham Cracker without marshmallow. So it does promote an impulse buy in bulk, right? In tandem with the other items that you need.

Number two, it creates an engaging story. There's a theme around it. You could even go campfire, you could go Girl Scout, you could go any number of different ways in terms of how you would cross-merchandise again, specifically, the S'more.

And three, it makes items stand out by placing them in a package. So it's not unlike merchandising as it relates to the fashion industry, you're grouping items together to tell a story. And that's why cross-merchandising in marketing and retail, specifically on shelf, is really valuable.
