3 Tips to Elevate Your SEO Marketing
What is Organic SEO?
Hi there, Cody here with Elevate My Brand, and today I want to give you three tips on how to elevate your SEO marketing. So first of all, let’s just start with what is SEO? So search engine optimization or SEO is the process of improving the quality of content on your site and the quantity of traffic to your site so that you can show up better in search results.
So you may have focused on your SEO six months ago or twelve months ago, but it’s really a constant effort. Cause even if something may not have changed with your company, things are changing with Google and their algorithms all the time. So you need to make sure you’re staying up-to-date on the best practices and make sure that you’re updating your content so that you can get better quality traffic. So I have three tips for you on how to focus on better organic SEO, because paid SEO is something totally different for another video later.
Increase your backlinks
The first tip I have for you is to focus on increasing your backlinks. So a backlink is a link from another site to your site. And those are very important because they act like digital word-of-mouth. So, if Google or Bing or another search engine sees that a thousand other websites are linking to your site when they talk about a specific topic, then they can determine that your site is probably a pretty good source of information on that topic.
Update your website content
The second piece of information is about working on your site content. So if you haven’t refreshed your site content in a couple of months, it might be a good time to go and look and see if your keywords are right, if everything is accurate, and if everything is complete. Make sure that you do that every once in a while just to make sure that everything is up-to-date because you might be surprised.
Improve your internal links
And number three, work on your internal links. So as opposed to a backlink, which is a link from another site to your site, an internal link is a link on your site, to another place on your site. And Google will be checking those more often as we transition more into Web 3.0 because they’re going to emphasize sites that have more stickiness. Meaning that if they land on your site, and they stay on your site, then clearly it is a good result for their inquiry on search.
So make sure you focus on those three organic SEO tips and you’ll be on your way to elevating your brand in no time.
