Elevate Your LinkedIn Presence
Use LinkedIn As A Tool
Hi there, Laurel Mintz here with Elevate My Brand, and today we’re going to talk a little bit about how to elevate your LinkedIn presence. It’s still a really important and valuable tool for so many reasons, especially since we’re still in this weird great resignation period, having a LinkedIn presence is more important for individuals and businesses than ever before. So here are some tips to get your engagement up on LinkedIn.
Be Social
Engage. Engage. Engage. Just like any other social media platform, LinkedIn is social, so you need to make sure that you’re not just push marketing and pushing your content out on the platform. Make sure you’re commenting and liking and sharing other people’s posts, other company’s posts to ensure that there is a two-way street and that it is truly social.
Be Visual
Always use imagery. Again, this goes for most social platforms, but it’s amazing to me how many low-quality images some people will share on LinkedIn. LinkedIn is at its core, a business-focused platform, so making sure that you are sharing high-res, high-value images is really really important, especially on that platform.
Be Mission-driven
Tip number three, this is especially for companies like ours who are looking to attract new top talent. Make sure that you’re posting about your values. You’ve heard us talk about this time and time again, values-based marketing is so critical, especially when you’re trying to attract new customers that really believe in hiring a team that is mission-driven and of course, when you’re looking to hire on new team, that needs to be attracted to you and your company.
Be Inspiring
Tip number three [point five] I believe is focus on thought leadership. It’s a B2B platform, so there’s a lot of corporate people on there looking to be inspired, looking to drive change, looking to understand what’s happening in new and interesting markets. Right, so make sure that you are creating yourself or your company as thought leaders in the space. So really thinking about what your expertise is and then doubling down on that for LinkedIn content.
Be Connected
And then last, of course, get buy-in from your team, making sure that they’re posting, that they have a presence, that they’re liking your content, that they have connected with you on your LinkedIn channel is also critically important again to show the universe and the world that people want to work with you both from a company perspective, business perspective, but also internally from your team. So those are my top tips for staying engaged and creating more engagement on LinkedIn which is still a super relevant platform.
