EMBiz: How to Market a Brand Event

Learn Event Marketing from an Event Marketing Agency
Hi everyone, Laurel Mintz here with Elevate My Brand. Today, we're gonna talk about how to market an event. We are so, so glad that events are back in full effect on a national and global scale. Since the pandemic has quieted, here are some great tips for how you can market an event most effectively.
Establish your event website
Set up your ticketing page or RSVP page ASAP. Whatever that looks like, make sure that it is to go so that you can drive people to it as a centralized location.
Create an email drip campaign
As we say in private events and public events, eight to 10 weeks out is when your first email message should be sent, which means you really need to be planning at least this far in advance. Make sure you're setting a cadence of email reminders because we know that it takes 10 to 15+ touchpoints before someone actually converts—and potentially more than that in a very busy events world. Make sure that you're including all of your events in your newsletter as a different touchpoint. It might be that someone who receives one email isn't on the monthly newsletter list, or it could be segmented in a different way.
Leverage your social channels
Promote on your socials. Make sure that you are using all of the channels that you have as effectively as possible to promote an event.
Publish digital ads
And last but certainly not least, if you're going to be doing advertising, make sure you're geo-fencing it if you have a limited budget with which to launch these events. Decide if you’re geo-fencing around that state (and even more narrowly around the city) that your event is focused within because you don't want to target and spend money on people who will never be able to attend your event.
And that's how to market a brand event effectively!
