From Our Friends: The Importance of Hydration for Pets

We talk a lot about the need to stay hydrated. Whether it’s the height of summer or the dryness of a cool winter, most of us either carry around a bottle of water or head to the water cooler regularly. We know it is good for our metabolism, cleans our digestive tract, keeps us alert and is good for our skin.
So what about our pets? They also need to be well hydrated in order to stay healthy. Veterinarians often state that pets need 1oz of water per day for every pound of their weight.

How to Prevent Dehydration
How can we ensure that our pets have a water supply all day when often we are not with them? How about when they are out in the park or even traveling with you in the car?
