In early 2023, Laurel Mintz gave a marketing presentation to an incredible group of business leaders at a WBENC meeting. In attendance? Jeanette Towles, President of Synterex, a clinical and regulatory consulting firm that’s out here making the world a better place through medical writing and communications services, information technology (IT) development, clinical science support and more.
When Jeanette approached Laurel after the talk, the two knew that Elevate My Brand and Synterex could do wonderful things together.
The challenge
Synterex is a woman- and disability-owned business aiming to “forge lasting and meaningful relationships” in their industry, so we had a lot in common. But we have a lot of differences as well, from our operations processes to our areas of expertise. At EMB, we’re smart, but we’re not pharmacovigilance smart, so the first task at hand was to get our logistical ish together: establish collaboration and communication platforms, develop a content-creation process, create manuals to understand regulatory and compliance challenges, set points of contact to bridge various knowledge gaps, etc.
Our responsibility was to take their rapidly, globally scaling brand to the next level. Synterex had already made a name for itself by word of mouth within its circles, but the company needed to reach new markets to become a true thought leader.

The results
Sometimes, the results speak for themselves. During our time as their content and communications partner, Synterex was named the Disability:IN 2024 DOBE of the Year, was honored as a 2024 Inc. Power Partner and won the 2024 Global Tech Awards for Productivity Technology.
On social media, we increased their LinkedIn following by 85% and their website visitors by 104% in the first year. Our team also improved their site health by 12% and boosted their domain authority by 150%. For us, the best part isn’t even the numbers—it’s that our client is constantly approached by peers at industry events who provide unsolicited praise for their social media profiles.
